Posted on 22/10/2009 in Dental Supplier News Tecnomed - the supplier of dental equipment - has offered a solution that is designed to help practices and waiting rooms reduce the risk of the H1N1 virus spreading in their establishments.
The Tecno-Gaz SterilAir Plus aims to address the worries of dental and healthcare professionals as to the spread of swine flu by eliminating all pathogens and airborne infections present in their environment.
Influenza, including the H1N1 virus, Tuberculosis and Morbillus are the infections tackled by the device.
Available in wall-mounted or free-standing mode, the Sterilair Plus can deal with up to 100 cubic metres of air per hour, is cost-effective and easy to maintain, the firm claims.
It adds: "The machine is well-designed [...] ensuring that it is not cumbersome or distracting in any area where it is necessary. It can be discreetly positioned in clinics, waiting rooms or operating theatres."
Dental professionals and industry representatives were given the opportunity to browse Tecnomed's range of Tecno-Gaz medical and dental equipment at an open evening last month, which was held in the Atlantic Towers Hotel, Liverpool.
