| Agilent launches statistical mode for channel stimulator | Posted on 21/10/2009 in Scientific Agilent has this week unveiled its new statistical mode for its signal integrity channel stimulator as part of its Advanced Design System (ADS) 2009 Update 1.
The new Channel Simulator mode accelerates simulation, allowing the manufacturers of technological products to explore and arrive at an optimal design faster.
It also eliminates the need for time-consuming and expensive prototype iterations, dramatically improving time-to-market levels.
Further enhancements of Agilent's ADS 2009 Update 1 are a BER contour and bathtub display, equalizer support with automatic tap optimisation, an eye mask utility with automatic violation checking and a time-domain reflectometry tool.
Chad Morgan, principal engineer at Tyco Electronics, said: "Having all of these capabilities in one easy-to-use environment is exciting and allows us to quickly and easily analyse channels and push them to new speeds."
Earlier this week, Agilent's U2700A Series USB Modular Instruments range won Design News' 2009 golden mousetrap award for best product.
