Pfizer Animal Health emerges as larger organisation
Pfizer Animal Health has been re-introduced to its clients as a more diversified company with a wider product range following its acquisition of Wyeth.
Along with Wyeth, the firm also gained the assets of its subsidiary Fort Dodge Animal Health, allowing it to further expand its expertise in the discovery, development, manufacture and sales of veterinary vaccines and medicines for livestock and pets.
Following the absorption of the two firms, Pfizer Animal Health is able to offer an enhanced portfolio in beef, dairy and companion animals, as well as a redefined product line for swine, equine and poultry.
Clint Lewis of Pfizer Animal Health stated: “The products, services and expertise we are gaining strengthen what is already a robust [?] portfolio and will enhance our leading position in the animal health marketplace.”
Last month, Pfizer Animal Health announced that it had opened a new fellowship programme, which aims to give veterinary professionals the chance to study to become scientists while maintaining their existing roles.
