Lundbeck appoints new vice-president

12th October 2009

Lundbeck has appointed a new vice-president who will oversee its operations in countries such as Denmark, France and Mexico, it has announced.

Bo Hilligsoe’s responsibilities will include dealing with Lundbeck’s combined finished goods production in Copenhagen, at the company’s new factory in France and its packing facility in Mexico.

Mr Hilligsoe has been at Lundbeck for 11 years and will also be in charge of integrating the company’s French base with its supply chain, allowing the organisation to reap the benefits of owning two pharmaceutical factories.

Lars Bang, executive vice-president of supply operations and engineering at Lundbeck, stated: “The acquisition in France has substantially strengthened our global production capability. Our job is now to ensure that we capitalise on the benefits offered by the acquisition.”

The news of this change came last week, Lundbeck revealed that it had acquired one of its former suppliers – the French firm Elaiapharm – in order to enchance its production and packaging facilities.
