The Vacutainer is a blood collection device which is designed to help acute healthcare facilities rapidly analyse blood serum for patient diagnosis.

Ana Stankovic, vice-president of medical and scientific affairs and clinical operations for the organisation, commented: "Technologies such as the BD Vacutainer Rapid Serum Tube can help reduce the time it takes to get answers from blood tests and have a significant impact on patient care and hospital productivity."
Meanwhile, BD Diagnostics division Ophthalmic Systems expanded its portfolio of microsurgical instruments and customised trays last month, with the addition of 30 new items to its Visitec stainless steel single-use products range.
