| PerkinElmer set to present at forthcoming conference | Posted on 08/09/2009 in Scientific PerkinElmer has announced that it will take to the plinth at the Thomas Weisel Partners 2009 Healthcare Conference.
Set to take place on September 10th, the convergence will see professionals from the scientific community gather to discuss current issues.
PerkinElmer's chairman and chief executive Robert Friel will attend the meeting and also deliver an overview of the company and its strategic objectives.
Additionally, a live webcast of Mr Friel's presentation will be made available through the investor section of the company's website after the event has taken place.
Thomas Weisel Partners hosts several events every year, all of them aiming to "connect the dots and provide original perspective and depth of insight", according to the organisation.
In related news, it was announced this week that Concert Pharmaceuticals' president and chief executive Roger Tung will also present at the conference.
Concert, a clinical stage biotechnology firm, specialises in the application of deuterium chemistry to create novel small molecule drugs.
