Posted on 08/09/2009 in Dental Supplier News Sirona Dental Systems has announced the availability of a new tool which is designed to make the sharing and transferring of digital x-ray imaging easier and more efficient.
The XIOSPLUS intraoral sensor system allows practitioners "the freedom and flexibility of capturing quality digital x-rays by using either an Ethernet or USB module", the firm informs.
With the company's SIDEXIS XG software, digital x-rays can also be viewed on any computer monitor or within an internal network without incurring extra fees.
Its Ethernet wall module also allows it to be easily integrated into any network and features contrasting LCD colours to show its current status.
Furthermore, it can be plugged into any PC and is available in two different sizes.
Earlier this year, Sirona announced that, given the medical community's increasing reliance upon three dimensional technologies, it had developed Orthophos XG 5 and XG Plus.
The DVT models are intended for use by dentists attempting to eradicate the use of flat images.
