Posted on 28/08/2009 in Pharmacy Supplier News Beiersdorf has revealed that it has confirmed the effectiveness of Nivea's figure care gel through its high-resolution sports medicine body scanner.
The company verified the abilities of its body scanners as a measuring tool that can provide precise, fast and reproducible data on differing body shapes and published the results of its examination in this month's publication of Skin Research and Technology magazine.
Overall, 28 women aged between 24 and 44 participated in the Nivea My Silhouette study, with some losing up to three centimeters in allocated areas of their bodies, as determined by the Beiersdorf machinery.
"The body scanner has a number of advantages over other technologies, especially in the field of cosmetics. It is less time-consuming than manual measuring methods, non-invasive, hands off and more precise," declared Soren Jaspers, head of biophysics skin care at the organisation.
In other Beiersdorf news this week, the company announced a partnership with cleansing foam specialist Bubbles & Beyond, which will see the two firms collaborate to produce a range of products for those with sensitive skin.
