Elsevier has unveiled a new channel through its Global Medical Wire News service, through which it aims to offer advice and guidance on the H1N1 virus.
The H1N1 channel is designed to address the needs of physicians when it comes to staying abreast of new diagnostics, vaccines, clinical trials and treatments for H1N1 infections.
Alan Imhoff, president and publisher of the International Medical News Group, commented: "Rapid dissemination of H1N1 news will be essential to physicians during this pandemic. EGMN wants to assure its clients that physicians will look to them for the latest H1N1 developments."
Elsevier recently announced the recipients of its annual awards for outstanding publications in its Journal of Midwifery and Womens' Health.
The HealthBest Article Award for a piece on cervical cancer screening practices of certified nurse-midwives went to Aikins Murphy, Eleanor Bimla Schwarz and Jane Dyer.
