The firm will work with Guangzhou Medical College to establish the Guangzhou General Practice Skill Training Centre as part of Welch Allyn's existing agreement to assist with the improvement of community healthcare.
Allocated for the training of general practitioners, the centre will help the Chinese government's initiatives to improve access to healthcare in the country, especially in rural regions.
Julie Shimer, president and chief executive of Welch Allyn, said: "The Guangdong General Practice Skill Training Centre is another vital step toward putting more skilled general practitioners on the frontlines of healthcare."
This news comes after Welch Allyn introduced an online resource for doctors, which is designed to provide more information on issues such as the importance of connectivity in the medical profession.
