Dentsply International ‘to present at the 2009 Healthcare Conference’

Dentsply International has revealed that its senior vice-president and chief financial officer Bill Jellison is to present at the 2009 Healthcare Conference later this month.

Made up of one-on-one and small group meetings, the event will commence on August 25th and is sponsored by Barrington Research. It is expected to attract the attendance of a wide range of firms operating in the field of dentistry.

Dentsply manufactures equipment such as dental sealants, crown and bridge materials, ceramics, precious metal dental alloys and endodontic instruments.

It announced at the end of July that during the second quarter of 2009, its net sales fell by seven per cent to US$553.2 million (336.5 million pounds). This is compared to the $594.8 million during the same time in 2008.

Chairman and chief executive of the firm Bret Wise said that despite a challenging economic environment, the company’s operations “continue to execute well” and that its earnings and cash flow remain “solid”.
