Purina announces stars of Mighty Dog Nation: The Movie

Purina has announced the winning entrants in its Mighty Dog Nation: The Movie contest.

The company said that while the standard of entries was very high, three canines emerged as the winners.

A Jack Russell Terrier called Jesse, a mixed breed by the name of Mater and a Havanese named Jasmine are now set to star in the ‘dogumentary’.

TV personality and dog lover Maria Menounos, who has appeared on programmes including the Today Show and Access Hollywood, picked the winners of the contest from ten finalists.

She commented: “It was hard to pick just three winners because every dog is mighty in his or her own unique way. Jesse, Jasmine and Mater truly have star potential and spirited personalities that will shine on screen.”

In addition to starring in Mighty Dog Nation: The Movie, the three canines will also receive a year’s supply of Purina Mighty Dog brand canned dog food.
