Grifols divisions all post higher revenues
Grifols has announced that all its divisions have posted higher revenues, as the organisation reported its financial results for the first half of 2009.
In a statement, the firm noted that revenue stood at 470.5 million euros (400.87 million pounds), an increase of 15.6 per cent when compared to the same period last year.
Net profit rose by 31.4 per cent during the six-month period to stand at 81.7 million euros.
Meanwhile, net financial debt on June 30th stood at 532.7 million euros, in line with year-ago figures. The firm said that it continues to boast a "solid balance sheet".
Grifols stated: "These results underscore the overall performance of the industry, where demand continues to rise and in which Grifols boasts considerable competitive advantages thanks to its ability to obtain plasma from fractionation."
In recent days, the firm announced that Giancarlo Castaman is the winner of the second edition of the Martin Villar Haemostasis Awards for his research into the response of Von Willebrand patients to treatment with desmopressin.
