Posted on 23/07/2009 in Veterinary Supplier News Fort Dodge Animal Health has announced that it has made a supply of its Pyramid 10 vaccine available to help veterinary professionals and dairy producers to protect their cattle from bovine diseases.
In a statement, the organisation explained that the therapy is a single-dose vaccine that offers protection against a total of ten reproductive and respiratory diseases in cattle.
These include infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, bovine respiratory syncytial virus and bovine virus diarrhoea types 1 and 2, as well as five types of leptospirosis.
In addition to offering added convenience as a combination vaccine in a single injection, Pyramid 10 makes use of Fort Dodge Animal Health's MetaStim proprietary adjuvant system.
Commenting, Gary Robertson, bovine biological marketing manager for Fort Dodge Animal Health, which has been a division of Wyeth since 1945, said: "MetaStim facilitates uniform distribution of the vaccine virus to the immune system in a highly concentrated and efficient manner."Other news stories from 23/07/2009
