Eppendorf Virtual Lab launched
17 July 2009 00:00 in Scientific
Eppendorf has announced the launch of its Virtual Lab, which it says is able to completely emulate workstations used for a variety of different tasks.
These include epMotion, micromanipulation and real-time PCR, allowing any user to focus and zoom in on a range of different laboratory settings, the company said in a statement.
Eppendorf's mascot Captain Eppi is an optional addition to the facility and explains the different tools, instruments and set-ups that are available in the lab to users.
"The Virtual Lab allows you to choose the optimal equipment for their individual workstations and applications. It also comes with a set of educational materials such as links to protocols, application notes and movies of our equipment in action," Eppendorf added.
A free tour of the online resource is currently available and users can enter a contest to win an Apple iPod Shuffle by answering questions about the lab. The closing date for entries is December 31st 2009.
