Bausch & Lomb's new initiative aims to offer eye care professionals a source of unbiased industry news and research.
President of the firm's vision care department Steven Robins made this comment after it announced the launch of the Center for Patient Insights.
Those in the industry will be able to use resources through the service to find out about opportunities available to them and understand the needs of people they care for.
Mr Robins explained professionals in the field have consistently told Bausch & Lomb they need to be able to comprehend how to increase patient loyalty and satisfaction.
"With the new Center for Patient Insights ? [we are] able to offer eye care practitioners a source of aggregated and unbiased industry news and research that will help them grow their knowledge base," he asserted.
Dr Walt West from the Optometric Management Magazine added the initiative is a great opportunity for eye care workers to access and reference all the market information they need.
In other news, Bausch & Lomb has recently rebranded its ReNu range of contact lense products.
