Boston Scientific thanks Jim Tobin for his efforts

Boston Scientific has voiced gratitude for Jim Tobin's hard work for the company.
It was announced he will step down from his position as president and chief executive officer after ten years with the firm. His retirement will be effective as of July 13th.
Mr Tobin remarked the business has become stronger and more diversified over the decade, adding it is in a good position to grow in the future.
He thanked the support of his employees, customers and investors for allowing the firm to achieve all it had over the last few years.
Chairman of the board of Boston Scientific Pete Nicholas asserted the business accepts Mr Tobin's decision to retire with gratitude and understanding.
"Thanks to his leadership ? our company has strengthened its position as a worldwide leader in less-invasive medicine," he commented.
"I would like to recognise and thank Jim for these and so many other accomplishments."
Ray Elliot is due to take over the role and Mr Tobin asserted he was "an outstanding choice".
In other news, Mr Tobin presented at the Wachovia 19th Annual Mid-year Equity Conference last week.
