Posted on 23/06/2009 in Veterinary Supplier News Bayer Animal Health has explained how its Tempo SC Ultra Pest Control Concentrate (11.8 per cent beta-cyfluthrin) can be used effectively for smaller farming operations.
This fifth-generation pyrethroid insecticide is available in a "convenient" 32 ml bottle.
It is effective on more than 60 different pests and can be used to control indoor, outdoor and wood-infesting insects around premises where livestock is kept.
Dr V Bruce Steward, marketing manager for Bayer Animal Health's livestock insecticides division, noted the product is available at a fraction of the cost of larger quantities because of its smaller size.
He explained once it is poured into a two-gallon sprayer and diluted with water it is ready to use.
"Operations such as smaller horse and cattle farms can now buy just the right amount of Tempo SC Ultra, providing them increased flexibility in their pest control programs," commented Dr Steward.
He concluded the product means there is no need to buy large quantities of insecticide that will end up sitting around for years.
