The healthcare company, along with several Danish patient associations, organised an event that made its debut yesterday (June 11th) in Copenhagen's town square.
Called Living the Experience of Autoimmune Reactions, visitors to the exhibition had the chance to take a walking tour of the immune system to find out how it works.
Dr Jesper Eugen-Olsen, consultant for the event, explained millions of people around the world suffer with one or more medical conditions of this body part.
"Intensive research in inflammation, genetics and autoimmune diseases has advanced our understanding of these diseases, which ? appear unrelated, but in fact ? are related," he stated.
Recommendations on how to specifically manage the conditions have been possible from the investigations into the medical problems, Dr Eugen-Olsen concluded.
