The company is sponsoring the South Somerset District Council's Fun Dog Show, which will be held on June 21st at the Yeovil Country Park for the third time.
Pet owners have the opportunity to enter their canine in a number of categories including ones for the best puppy, veteran and rescue handler.
Attendees to the show can watch agility tests, speak to animal experts and wander around stalls.
Speaking to the Yeovil Express, council enforcement officer Lynette Osment said she hopes as many people come this year as they did in 2008.
Ms Osment explained the aim of the day is not only to provide a fun trip out for local residents, but to also promote responsible pet ownership.
She concluded: "We would like to thank ? Royal Canin whose generous sponsorship of this event has made it possible again this year."
The company who is helping to finance the show develops, manufactures and sells dog and food nutrition products.
