| Agilent Technologies recommends power supplies for budget-conscious | Posted on 05/06/2009 in Scientific Agilent Technologies has noted that its N8700 Series of DC power supplies is likely to suit those on a tight budget.
Similar to the N5700 Series, the units offer basic capabilities that aid speed test-system development in a range of sectors, including defence and automotive.
The single-output, programmable range consists of 21 new models from 3.3 kW to five kW.
Vice-president of the company's system product division Gary Whitman outlined other reasons why consumers may benefit.
"Customers value a reliable power supply that is easy to use and easy to integrate [they] can enjoy all these benefits at much higher power levels while keeping within tight budgets," he explained.
Parallel or series operations can be configured with items in the new range and every model comes with USP, GPIB and LAN (LXI-C) interfaces.
News of the N8700 follows a recent announcement by Agilent Technologies which detailed the firm's process design kits for Jazz Semiconductor's 0.18 micron SiGe BiCMOS processes.
