Posted on 27/05/2009 in Dental Supplier News Nobel Biocare is committed to sharing its training and educating expertise with the next generation of dental professionals, it has stated.
Chief executive officer Domenico Scala made this comment after it was announced the company would make teaching materials available free of charge from its new site on iTunes Store and iTunes U.
On-demand and up-to-date e-learning will be accessible to patients, students and dentists on the Beyond Campus section of the online source.
Users will be able to search and download material from the internet onto their computer, iPod or iPhone ? giving them the opportunity to study anytime and anywhere.
Mr Scala remarked "iTunes U provides an innovative way for us to engage millions of students and dental professionals with state-of-the art dental education".
Nobel Biocare is already committed to training and helps a number of universities with undergraduates' crown, bridge and implant coursework.
Programmes it is involved in also cover educating trainees about Cad/Cam dentistry concepts and implant restorations.
