Investis Flife carried out the IQ Corporate Website Ranking survey for the first time in the country and examined 80 companies.
The online resources were examined against 188 criteria points, which were split into 12 categories.
Coming ahead of businesses such as Volkswagen, Siemens and Deutsche Telekom, Beiersdorf scored within the top 20.
The company ? which is responsible for the brand Nivea ? was commended for its use of multimedia, interactivity and Web 2.0.
Specific pages that were praised included Job & Career, Press and About Us.
Al Loehnis, director of Investis Flife, described the leading websites in the poll to be "genuinely world-class".
"They provide not just company detail but a broad sense of the market context and they use the strengths of the web really well in bringing their companies to life," he said.
Earlier this month, Beiersdorf released its first quarter 2009 financial figures.
Commenting on the results, chairman of the company's executive board Thomas-B Quaas stated the business will continue to prepare for the effects of the economic downturn.Other news stories from 19/05/2009
