Posted on 14/05/2009 in Veterinary Supplier News Idexx Laboratories has announced that it will be offering an online veterinary training course focused around the use of the Idexx VetTest Chemistry Analyser.
The Idexx VetTest Certificate Course is a self-paced online tutorial that provides training in the features and operation of the machine, a dry-slide diagnostic tool of which an estimated 30,000 are used in veterinary practices worldwide.
Additionally, the course offers an overview of basic chemistry definitions and on-the-job efficiency training, and will earn participants a certificate upon completion.
Vet Tech Institute instructor Lisa Szafranski said: "I encourage my students to take the course in preparation for their future careers as licensed veterinary technicians. We're very pleased with the results, and my students like the online training format."
Idexx Laboratories currently employs over 4,500 people in more than 60 countries worldwide.
Last month, the group released its Q1 2009 financial breakdown, reporting organic revenue growth of three per cent despite the current effects of global recession.
