Posted on 11/05/2009 in Dental Supplier News Ivoclar Vivadent has unveiled a new cleaning system for the "gentle" polishing of tooth surfaces.
Proxyt prophylaxis enables professionals to treat patients based on individual needs with pastes available in three abrasive values - RDA 7 (fine), RDA 36 (medium) and RDA 83 (coarse).
According to the manufacturer, the product is effective but will not roughen restored surfaces or wear dental structures unnecessarily.
"Proxyt covers the entire spectrum of teeth cleaning, ranging from the removal of light accretion and pathogenic plaque to the elimination of stains and fine polishing," Ivoclar Vivadent said.
The system contains xylitol and fluoride.
Meanwhile, the company released another product on to the market last week - the Colado CC, which is a cobalt-chromium alloy aimed to provide an alternative to precious metal alloys.
It is described as a user-friendly material suitable for composite and ceramic veneers.
Features include convenient handling and "ideal physical properties", according to Ivoclar Vivadent.
