Agilent Technologies expands use of ADS system

Agilent Technologies has announced its Advanced Design System (ADS) EDA software will be utilised on a larger scale.
The company states Skyworks Solutions, a company which specialises in high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, will expand its use of the product.
It is noted Agilent Technologies worked alongside Skyworks Solutions to tailor the platform for use in its manufacturing procedures.
The companies hope by deploying the customised version of ADS, the latter firm will be able to enjoy fast and efficient front-end power amplifier module creation.
James Young, vice-president of engineering at Skyworks Solutions, said ADS had been essential to its procedures for around seven years.
"With the ADS circuit and electromagnetic simulator integrated into a common environment, the Agilent design flow offers the quickest path to a working design," he added.
Agilent Technologies recently announced the launch of a new liquid chromatography system it claimed is the most powerful, sensitive and flexible on the market.
