Website launched to support NHS staff
A new website and additional funding should help NHS staff feel supported in the organisation, it has been claimed.
The Social Partnership Forum ? a joint venture with the Department of Health (DoH), employees and unions in the public body ? is an online platform containing advice, case studies and examples of good practice to encourage positive working relationships across all levels in the organisation.
It can make a huge difference to a project if staff and unions work together in a productive way, explained health minister Ann Keen.
“The Social Partnership Forum has successfully looked into ways in which it can increase staff involvement in improving patient services, therefore delivering on commitments made in the NHS constitution,” she added.
Ultimately the aim should be to build on the public body’s strengths and achievements to date in order to help it improve and continue to be one of the world’s leading healthcare services, Ms Keen concluded.
The DoH announced a new strategy called New Horizons this week to promote good mental health and overall wellbeing across the country.
