| Anachem launches new PCR kit | Posted on 06/04/2009 in Scientific Anachem has announced the details of its new system designed specifically for accurate polymerase chain reaction (PCR) study.
The company claims its Kapa Biosystems SYBR fast qPCR Kit is equipped with a novel DNA polymerase that has been developed especially for use with the technology.
It is hoped the kit will offer users a real-time solution for PCR investigation that returns efficient, reliable and accurate gene quantification results.
As wild type Taq DNA polymerase can be inhibited when under real-time PCR testing conditions, the Kapa SYBR fast qPCR Master Mix looks to reduce the loss in specificity and sensitivity that can occur.
"[It] contains a novel DNA polymerase, engineered to perform optimally in stringent qPCR reaction conditions. It exhibits dramatic improvements in signal-to-noise ratio, cycle threshold, linearity and sensitivity," Anachem said in a statement.
Just last month, the company noted it was "delighted" to announce it had won the distribution rights for a range of products from Kapa Biosystems.
