Posted on 02/04/2009 in Pharmaceutical Company Restructures Ferring is delighted to welcome Dr John Patterson to its board of directors.
With immediate effect, he has been appointed as a new member and will be taking on the role as chairman of the company's research and development (R&D) committee.
Since December 2004 until his retirement on March 31st 2009, Dr Patterson held the position of executive director for AstraZeneca's development segment.
He also has 18 years of R&D experience with ICI Pharmaceuticals where he started in 1975 as a medical adviser.
Chairman of Ferring's board Frederik Paulsen welcomed Dr Patterson to the company.
"His long-term, quality experience in both clinical research and product and portfolio development will, I am certain, bring enormous value to ? [our] research and development committee and the activities it directs," he remarked.
Last month, the company was honoured with the 2008 Frost & Sullivan European Human Growth Hormone Competitive Strategy Leadership Award.
