Posted on 26/03/2009 in Pharmaceutical Company Product News Ferring has been recognised for its initiatives in providing no-needle injections for human growth hormone (hGH).
The Swiss pharmaceutical company was honoured with the 2008 Frost & Sullivan European Human Growth Hormone Competitive Strategy Leadership Award.
Zeomaject 2 Vision and Vision X are two products the firm offer and they are poised to help the business sustain its market share in this field within Europe, while also expanding its presence globally.
The majority of hGH users are youngsters under the age of 15 and Prabakar Sampath, research analyst for Frost & Sullivan, explained research shows children prefer drugs not to be administrated through a needle.
"Ferring has shown leadership in meeting the needs of the paediatric population in this therapy area," he commented.
Mr Sampath concluded by stating companies established in the hGH market can make a strategic difference to successfully increase sales if they look at alternative ways of delivering medication.
Earlier this month, Firmagon ? Ferring's treatment option in hormonal therapy for prostate cancer ? was officially launched in Europe.Other news stories from 26/03/2009
