Lab M products meet ISO protocols
23 March 2009 00:00 in Scientific
Lab M has announced that its latest range of products for the isolation of C sakazakii supports all ISO protocols.
The company has revealed that products including the Harlequin Cronobacter sakazakii Isolation Medium (CSIM) are now fully equipped to handle both broth and chromogenic media.
In addition, it was noted that both this product and the Cronobacter sakazakii Enrichment Broth (CSEB) facilitate all testing regimes for use in such laboratory isolation strategies.
"[CSEB] has added sodium chloride for extra selectivity against competing organisms," the company said.
"The antibiotic vancomycin is also added to inhibit Gram-positive organisms such as Staphylococccus aureus which may be able grow in this medium."
Lab M's Harlequin CSIM utilises chromogenic technology to speed up detection levels and reduces the need for further subculture or confirmatory testing.
The company specialises in technologies designed to detect Salmonella, Listeria and E.coli.
