Thermo Fisher Scientific unveils new pipette
20 March 2009 00:00 in Scientific
Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of a new pipette that aims to be even more hygienic than its predecessors.
Unveiled this week, the Aspire RP30 tips are designed for use in pre-LC/MS sample desalting and peptide concentrating, as well as low molecular weight and complex proteins.
The tips contain a proprietary Styrene-divinylbenzene reversed phase resin and provide a higher binding capacity than conventional C18 desalting tips. This allows higher levels of purification from sample volumes.
According to the manufacturer, the tips use "a colour-coded, multichannel protocol which streamlines low to medium-throughput sample cleanup."
"Without the need for centrifugation, twelve samples can be rapidly processed in parallel within 20 minutes," it continues.
Earlier this month, representatives from Thermo Fisher Scientific appeared at the Barclays Capital Global Healthcare Conference in Miami. President and chief executive Marijn E Dekkers spoke about the company's performance and future plans.
