| Advanced Medical Solutions says outlook is positive | Posted on 17/03/2009 in Medical Company Financials Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS) made good progress last year and is positive about its financial performance in 2009.
The company made these comments as its unveiled figures for last year.
They included a 21 per cent increase in group revenue to £20.3 million, a 54 per cent rise in pre-tax profit to £2.9 million and a "strong" balance sheet with £7.3 million in net funds.
Key growth drivers for the period were listed as things such as AMS' NHS direct wound care business and its increased presence in the silver alginate market.
"We continue to see opportunities to accelerate growth further through potential corporate activity," said AMS chairman Dr Geoffrey Vernon.
He added that the company had also strengthened its technology portfolio and broadened its customer base across the globe.
AMS was founded in 1991 and is currently listed on the Alternative Investment Market.
