| Sigma-Aldrich announces distribution agreement with AlphaGenix | Posted on 17/11/2008 in Scientific Sigma-Aldrich has signed a distribution agreement with AlphaGenix, allowing Sigma to carry products for stem sell biology research and regenerative medicine, it has been announced.
AlphaGenix, described by Sigma-Aldrich as "a leading developer and manufacturer" of products in this field, has introduced new lines such as antibodies to stem cell markers and tools for 3D stem cell culture systems and Sigma-Aldrich is now be the exclusive supplier.
Carl Schrott, director of marketing for Regenerative Medicine and Research Cell Culture at the life science and high technology company, commented: "Through this partnership, we will offer our customers new tools to grow stem cells that resemble their in vivo counterparts - and the high-quality antibodies needed to study them."
He added the design of cell culture assays which mimic the behaviour of cells in living tissues is increasingly important.
