Mettler Toledo will host a one-hour webinar on metal detection and removing the risk of contamination next month.

The lecture will address how to make products safe from contamination, according to Process and Control Today, by giving information on how to construct an effective metal detection programme, how metal detectors work and what the best practices used by major food manufacturers are.

Putting contamination programmes in place can remove the threat of incoming metal-containing ingredients, wear and tear breakages of processing equipment, sabotage and the accidental loss of metal items from workers. Without these programmes, a safety recall may result, the news source said.

The webinar will take place on Thursday November 20th at 14:00 GMT.
