P&G to webcast discussion of first quarter 2008-9 earnings

Procter & Gamble has announced it intends to webcast a discussion of its first-quarter 2008-9 earnings results later this month.
The company will make the data public on Wednesday October 29th in a presentation beginning at 08:30 EST.
Members of the company due to discuss the quarter's results are chairman of the board and chief executive officer A G Lafley, vice-president and treasurer Jon R Moeller and vice-chair and chief financial officer Clayton C Daley Jr.
Investors and members of the media will be able to access the live audio webcast from Procter & Gamble's www.pg.com/investors site.
The webcast will also be available for replay, the company explains.
In recent days, Procter & Gamble announced its board of directors had declared a quarterly dividend of 40 cents (23 pence) per share on the common stock, as well as on the series A and series B ESOP convertible class A preferred stock of the firm.
The company added it has been paying dividends to its shareholder of record without interruption since it was incorporated in 1890.
