| Beiersdorf wins technology management award | Posted on 26/09/2008 in Pharmacy Supplier News Pharmacy supplier Beiersdorf has announced its research and development department has been recognised with an award from the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology.
The company is one of five which has been recognised for its exceptional technology management practices.
It was especially praised for its focus on consumer needs during product development, its strong consumer orientation, its use of IT platforms for knowledge sharing, company and communications culture, systematic project evaluation and patent and product management.
Professor Dr Klaus-Peter Wittern, head of research and development at the firm, said: "We are very proud of receiving the award which reflects our continuous efforts to evaluate our work practices and find ways to improve."
He added the accolade also recognises the company's benchmarking and knowledge sharing with other firms.
Last week, Beiresdorf said it would open a new Nivea Haus in Berlin and Dubai, noting its first Nivea Haus in Hamburg was a "complete success".Other news stories from 26/09/2008
