| Elanco 'to centralise operations' | Posted on 02/09/2008 in Veterinary Supplier News Global animal health company Elanco has announced plans to build a new worldwide headquarters where it will consolidate its operations.
The veterinary supplier has selected a site at I-70 and Ind 9 in the City of Greenfield in Hancock Country as the location of its new facility.
It will begin construction on the new headquarters in March 2009, work which will mark the launch of a 52-acre life sciences and business park.
Jeff Simmons, president of the Eli Lilly subsidiary, said: "The new Elanco headquarters will centralise the company's operations, while saving us at least $1 million (555,500 pounds) in annual operating expenses."
He added this move marks a key step in the company's goal to be a leading company in its sector.
Last month, Elanco announced it had acquired the worldwide rights to dairy cow supplement Posilac (sometribove) from Monsanto, together with the supporting operations of the compound.Other news stories from 02/09/2008
