Mobilis recommends Alexander technique and lumbar rolls
Individuals suffering from back pain have been advised to treat the condition with the Alexander technique.
Mobilis has noted that many people suffer from lower back pain which can be eased by the use of the Alexander technique.
The technique has been around for over 100 years, but recent research has shown it can be effective in correcting poor posture.
Mobilis also recommended products that can aid posture and thus reduce back pain.
“Using a lumbar roll, such as the McKenzie Original Roll, provides firm support to the lower back and encourages correct postures,” the company said.
It added lumbar rolls can be used by individuals while driving and also at the desk while working.
NHS Direct notes that back pain is the largest single cause of sickness absence in the UK, with lower back reportedly pain affecting seven out of ten people at some point in their lives.
