North-west media industry portal How Do reports that he has taken a "step up" the career ladder with this move.
Having previously been account manager at the BJL, Mr English will take up the role of account director at the design and web firm.
He said: "The Foundry has a cracking reputation for producing highly creative, award winning work and helping clients to build their brands."
Mr English added he is looking forward to being part of the team following his move from Quay Street.
Earlier the month, Dechra Veterinary Suppliers announced five of its own new recruits to strengthen its product offering.
The company appointed Anya Thurgood and James Walker as new veterinary technical advisers and Mechell Di Matteo, Maggie Cronnie and Jessica Howett to its sales team.Other news stories from 29/08/2008
