27 August 2008 00:00 in Medical Company Restructures

GE Healthcare IT has signed a global reseller agreement with Ormed Information Systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, GE will be allowed to provide selected applications available from the Ormed product portfolio.

These include supply chain management software and applications for e-commerce, general accounting and human resources.

Furthermore, the agreement will result in the leverage of shared distribution channels by both companies.

Ormed Mis software and Ormed X e-commerce solutions have been exclusively developed for use in the healthcare sector and aim to streamline the business through the automation and integeration of business processes.

Laurent Rotival, vice-president and general manager of GE Healthcare IT, said: "Delivering high performance, reliability and great value to our customers is at the centre of everything we do."

He added the announcement of this agreement will allow clients to improve their existing centricity platform with new applications which complement the company's revenue cycle management solution.

Mr Rotival said the deal would help GE Healthcare deliver end-to-end financial management to its customers.

Last month, GE Healthcare signed a definitive merger agreement to purchase Vital Signs in order to expand its offerings in respiratory care, monitoring and anaesthesia.
