Goldshield appoints CFO

Goldshield has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer (CFO), with Ram Swamy being appointed to the role.

With a masters in commerce (advanced cost management), Mr Swamy is also a certified public accountant, association chartered accountant and cost and works accountant with certification in corporate and industrial legislation.

Mr Swamy has over 19 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, financial and marketing sectors.

“We are delighted that Ram is joining the board as CFO, he brings with him a wealth of experience,” the company said.

It added it is confident the company will benefit from his expertise and knowledge in order to better develop the business.

Earlier this month, chief executive of Goldshield Rakesh Patel gave a statement to the annual general meeting of the company, calling 2008 a year of significant progress for the firm.
