Tom Lenz, vice-president of professional services at the company, said: "Many pet owners are unaware of the serious danger leptospirosis poses to dogs or that any dog that spends time outdoors could be susceptible."
He added there is a need for greater education on the disease and the risk it poses to dogs and families.
Fort Doge informs veterinary surgeons dogs can be protected against the disease by a combination of LeptoVax and Duramune to reduce cellular debris for enhanced safety.Other news stories from 13/08/2008
