| Invitrogen links up with Brendan | Posted on 22/07/2008 in Scientific Invitrogen has set up an exclusive partnership with Brendan Technologies to customise its StatLIA assay analysis software.
The essential life sciences technologies firm will facilitate the analysis of protein samples in the undisclosed deal.
Kip Miller, Invitrogen's senior vice president of BioDiscovery, said the software allows the company to maximise the value of its reagents through "state-of-the art" calculations and analysis of proteomics mass spectrometry.
"This is another example of how Invitrogen is dedicated to helping researchers access powerful, yet complex, technologies through simplifying specific application workflows, such as mass spectrometry," he added.
Earlier in the month Invitrogen received pre-market approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for its new Spot-Light HER2 CISH breast cancer test kit.
Meanwhile, Harrison Ford and Dr Edward Wilson joined the company as it launched a new programme to distribute grants to advance science literacy last month.
