| Merz reveals management board appointments | Posted on 10/07/2008 in Pharmaceutical Company Restructures Merz has revealed that Dr Martin Zugel and Dr Matthias Vogt have been appointed to new roles on the pharmaceuical group's management board.
Dr Zugel had been cheif executive in charge of Merz's research and development activities but he is now set ot become the chariman of the group's management board.
Meanwhile, Dr Vogt, who has previously filled a number of top managment posts at Novartis, is to become the firm's cheif financial officer and he too will take his place on the management board.
Dr Jochen Huckmann, chairman of Merz's shareholders' council, said: "We are delighted that with Dr Matthias Vogt, we have gained someone who is highly qualified to promote the international business conducted by our company."
Headquartered in Frankfurt and with operaitons in a number of European countries, including the UK, Merz counts drugs used to treat depression, hairloss, Alzhiemer's and Parkinson's among its list of "most imprtant" products.
