| Sebia products given FDA thumbs up | Posted on 10/07/2008 in Scientific Sebia electrophoresis has received clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market the Minicap Protein six assay.
The product makes for the separation and quantitation of the six major serum protein fractions.
Sebia's Capillarys Hemoglobin assay has also been given the thumbs up by the FDA.
It aids in the diagnosis of hemoglobinopathies and thalassemias as it is designed to separate, detect and quantify normal hemoglobins and variants.
The organisation recently welcomed a partnership between itself and Beckman-Coulter electrophoresis saying it looks forward to working with the firm and its laboratory.
It is set to appear at the AACC Clinical Lab Expo in Washington DC from July 29th to 31st and later in the year at the APHL 2008 Newborn Screening and Genetic Testing Symposium in San Antonio, Texas from November 3rd to 6th.
