Wyeth announces new president

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals has announced a new president for the company.

Andreas Krebs is now the president of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Canada.

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals is a division of Wyeth. Mr Krebs will be working under Joseph M. Mahady who is the president of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and the senior vice-president of Wyeth.

Mr Krebs became the general manager of Wyeth in Germany in July 2003.

He currently serves on the board of the German research company trade organisation, VFA, and is also a member in the Paul Ehrlich Society for Chemotherapy and the Board of Trustees in the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine.

The company said during his time in Germany Mr Krebs “worked to transform the German affiliate into one of the fastest growing companies in the market”.

Wyeth is a provider of pharmaceuticals and health care products for humans and animals.
