Oxoid to crown food safety team

Oxoid is taking entrants for its food safety team of the year.

There is still time to enter the Oxoid Food Safety Team of the Year Award until applications close on Monday (June 30th).

A company statement said: "The Award is simple to enter – a summary of activity, in 2,000 words, is all that is required – and entries are welcome from teams world wide. Hints and tips … are available from your local representative of Oxoid products."

The prize is organised in conjunction with International Food Hygeine and the Institute of Brewing and Distilling.

A prize of £1,000 will be awarded to the winners with runners-up getting £500 as well as a certificate.

The deadline for the firm’s Young Microbiologist of the Year award also closes on Monday with applicants asked to write a 2,000 word summary of the activity.
