| Anachem launch new DNA system | Posted on 18/06/2008 in Scientific Anachem is distributing a new microscale polymer tape which contains all the reagents needed for DNA electrophoresis.
The ScreenTape system – developed by Lab901 – claims to offer a convenient, easy to use and safe product to molecular biologists without the need to use handling gels and buffers.
A company statement said the system loads the samples, runs the gel and images and provides fully analysed results in less than ten minutes.
"This ensures accuracy, reproducibility and traceability. The system is fully bar-coded to meet GLP guidelines and data is archived for easy retrieval and comparison," it added.
Meanwhile, the firm launched an adjustable spacer pipette last month which it claims offers an economical solution for increased productivity when transferring between sample formats.
The company claims to be a specialist in liquid handling, chromatography, chemical and bioanalysis for all laboratory applications.
It has operated in the science industry for more than 35 years.
