Pfizer Animal Health appoints senior vice-president and general counsel

Pfizer Animal Health has appointed Amy W Schulman as senior vice-president and general counsel, effective from June 23rd.

She will report directly to Jeffrey B Kindler, chairman and chief executive officer of Pfizer.

In her new role she will be responsible for leading the legal division of the firm and will serve on the company’s executive leadership team.

Mr Kindler refers to Ms Schulman as an effective and highly-regarded legal strategist.

“Her knowledge of the legal, business and regulatory challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry and her experience tackling large, complex cases make her uniquely qualified to lead Pfizer’s legal team,” he adds.

Ms Schulman states that she is looking forward to working as part of the team that Mr Kindler has assembled.

In other news from the firm, Pfizer recently announced that Liptor (atorvastatin calcium) reduced the risk of major cardiovascular events such as stroke and heart attacks.
